Rural Decentralized Water Systems Project
Seven Rivers received a grant from USDA Rural Development. This very successful program, beginning in 2010, with these grant funds we have assisted 249 homeowners with safe drinking water. In 2021 the grant name changed to Rural Decentralized Water System program and septic systems were added to the program. Low-income homeowners can now apply for a well, septic system or both if needed. Since adding the septic to the program we have been able to help 18 homeowners with new septic system which in turn helps communities to have a healthier environment. The loan will be financed at 1% interest up to 15 years if necessary.
